Angel Cakes is a small-batch bakery, and all cupcakes are custom made! That means your cupcakes are made from scratch just for you. On Fridays, our cupcakes are also available at our Cupcake Pop-Up Shop at Tea Here Now in Oakland.

Availability

Angel Cakes is open Wednesday through Sunday for orders and deliveries. We accept phone calls between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. California time. And because we live on our computers/smartphones, we answer emails all day long, and usually even on our days off. Because we are busy with baking and deliveries, email is an excellent way to get in touch.

We advise calling by 2 p.m. the day before your event, however, sooner is always better! Some specialty flavors and designs take a few days, and there is always the possibility that we are already booked or otherwise unavailable (we do take days off once in a while!). Keep in mind that if we are in the kitchen or on a delivery, it's difficult for us to answer the phone - you know, that whole looking at your phone while driving (or baking!) thing.

Please note that we do not ship orders outside of the San Francisco Bay Area.

While cupcakes are the focus of Angel Cakes, other desserts, including small cakes, cheesecakes, and pies are available on request.

Pricing

Standard Cupcakes have tiered pricing based on flavor, with a minimum of 6 per flavor:

$2.50: Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon or Lime, Red Velvet, Salted Chocolate, Coconut, Almond or Hazelnut, Peanut Butter, ginger, cardamom, chai, poppyseed, chocolate mint, Mexican chocolate, White Chocolate, chocolate orange

$2.75: Carrot, Thai, any fresh fruit topping, filling, or cake, any jam/jelly filling or topping, flavors with alcohol (old fashioned/bourbon, mimosa, champagne, rum, mojito, mudslide, chocolate stout), speciality tea flavors (earl grey, rose strawberry black tea),

$3.00: Lemon Meringue (with lemon cream filling), German Chocolate, Salted Caramel, S'mores (with house-made marshamallows)

Mini cupcakes: $1.00 each, minimum order is 24 per flavor.

Cakes: Two layer, six inch round cakes begin at $35, and 8 inch cakes start at $50. Single layer, 14" round cakes start at $90. We do not cover cakes with fondant (we only use fondant for decoration).

Fondant decorations: Handmade fondant decorations can be added to the tops of cupcakes. Fondant decorations range from $.30 to $1.00 per cupcake. Please call or email for a quote. More information is here.

Large orders (more than 4 dozen standard sized cupcakes or 160 mini cupcakes of the same flavor) will receive a discount.

Some organic ingredients and seasonal fruit may increase the price of your order.

Payment

We confirm all orders by phone or email before accepting payment.

We accept cash, check, and credit cards (over the phone or through Paypal). For most orders, payment is due in advance, at the time you place the order. Our mailing address is Angel Cakes, PO Box 22526, Oakland, CA 94609.
