Cupcake of the Month: Chocolate Hazelnut and Strawberry
Wow - this spring has been BUSY. So busy in fact, that we've barely had time to post on our website!
Well we're catching up now and have quite a backlog of things to say. First of all, let's talk about the Cupcake of the Month! Our CSA-style program is going strong and we've just finished up two stellar months.
In April, we featured Chocolate Hazelnut cupcakes - think Nutella! Although we try to feature seasonal flavors, we like to mix in a lot of chocolate for the cocoa lovers out there. This is one of my favorite flavors. We use finely chopped hazelnuts in the batter, and it makes all the difference.

In May, the beginning of strawberry season here in Northern California, we featured cupcakes with fresh strawberries in the batter and on top. This is one of our most popular flavors, and since the growing season extends through October, you'll be making quite a few of these over the next couple of months. We strongly believe in using organic strawberries and our favorite producer is Swanton Berry Farm - both union and organic! And you can pick your own!
June's Flavor of the Month will be Chocolate Peanut Butter! You can subscribe until noon PST on Tuesday to get in on the delivery this Wednesday, June 13. Find out all the details and subscribe here.
